Without light there is no color.  Like Oil and water they are interdependent.  I represent the reflections, refractions and atmosphere created by light through the use of color.  Through oil and water media I break light into a color spectrum through strokes, layers and chunks of paint.  I portray the world  around me and exploit its importance through the colors of light and shadow.  My impressions are a patchwork of moments, which serve as illuminated manuscripts of a simple life, while commenting tont he hypocrisies of our abundant society.
